Study shows Pittsburgh has highest percentage of deficient... | www.wpxi.com

Not looking good. We need less drivers and more cyclists/walkers.

Don't expect anything from Gov. DoNothing until we have this:

http://www.city-data.com/forum/23814149-post683.html

When that happens, DoNothing will finally do something, but then it's too late he doesn't stand a chance with voters.

Cyclists and walkers don't pay the fuel tax, so that'd make things worse, not better. We need more SUV and pickup truck drivers.

Actually, after the I-35W bridge collapse in Minnesota, PennDOT made bridge rehabilitation their top priority. There are now about 1,000 fewer structurally deficient bridges in Pennsylvania than there were five years ago.

What happened to all of that free obama money we got for the stimulus? I thought there were tons of shovel-ready infrastructure projects ready to go? I thought that money was supposed to go to our ailing infrastructure? Are we surprised when people stop supporting spending money on infrastructure after the govt blows through billions supposedly to fix these things, yet they are worse than ever?

Can we please refrain from partisan bickering within a thread that is NOT politically-related?

Can a supposedly successful business/family man really be this simplistically obtuse? (that's a rhetorical question, by the way)

Don't kid yourself--this thread was political from the very start.

But political doesn't have to be partisan, and in fact there is bipartisan support behind passing the TFAC's recommendations.

I could just do with a tad less Obama-bashing on this forum. If we're going to blame anyone for squandering financial resources that otherwise could have been better spent domestically why not point the finger at his predecessor, who wasted billions of dollars as we invaded a nation and then struggled to rebuild it, all because of "faulty intelligence" linking its leader to 9/11?
