I couldn't be anymore excited to have world class soccer return to Pittsburgh. I just hope that this actually happens.

Thanks for the post Evergrey, I am thrilled to have them come here as well. I am going to try and score tickets to the game which I can already tell will be difficult to obtain

Do a lot of people travel to see the top soccer teams?

Should be a good weekend for folks in the hospitality industry then. I can't see this selling 60,000 tickets to just greater Pittsburgh people, soccer just isn't that popular a spectator sport.

I first visited Pittsburgh to watch the Chelsea v. Roma match in 2004 and definitely plan on catching this game if it happens.

I'd go see that. But from the article, it doesn't look like they have anywhere to play here.

I'm sure the logistics will be figured out if AC Milan is serious about playing here. If Pittsburgh truly was "taken by surprise" by AC Milan's announcement... hopefully the local powers that be vigorously pursue this and make it happen.

I went to that game in 2004. In fact, that's the only time I've ever been to an event at Heinz Field. Count me in if this happens!
