Ive been to Bocktown a few times, and really liked it, honestly. It's no Sharp Edge, but still...

Just left Brewstone. It is arguable one of the nicest breweries in the metro. John Havards was nice, but Brewstone clearly sunk several hundred thousand into renovations. Absolutely first rate for a brewery. The big beer vats are gone and replaced with a bar (there are actually two fully stocked bars there). A flat screen for every booth keeps kids occupied (just find Disney or Nick). Food is not spectacular but pretty good, better than e.g. Applebees or Chilis, but not as good as something like Fatheads. The beer selection is average for a brewery. Dozens of beers on tap but not nearly as may craft beers as somewhere like D's dogs in Regent Square. Probably a better selection than e.g. Buffalo Wild Wings. Prices where pretty low but who knows how long that will last. New places have a tendency to raise prices after they establish a clientele.

I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Not sure? It could be like Rivertowne where the brewery is in Monroeville but locations are all over. Brewstone definitely had beers I haven't seen locally (perhaps some one else has???), so it's possible they brew at their home location and ship to their satellite breweries? Also, there are probably 100 TV's... literally!!!

There's nothing on their website that indicates they produce their own beer on- or off-site.

Might have to check out the one in Indy. I'm in that neighborhood more than I'd care to be so I might as well make it worth my while.

Yeah it is just a sports bar chain I guess. Nothing like Harvards which crafted beer. Ah well, that Hooters does really well, so I guess another sports bar type thing without the great looking women will do fine.

This place is closed down now. The Brewstone place. Their initial ownership didn't pay their alcohol tax for like a year straight, and then some new owners bought it out. Didn't last too long after that.

Anyway, the real reason I bumped this was to see if anyone knows what is going on with the Walmart situation in this same plaza? The Sears has been closed now for two years, and I haven't been able to find any update in the last year and a half about what's going on with the Walmart. Did they not get approved by the state traffic study or something? No sign of life there at all, no progress. Which is fine with me because I dread the traffic and have no need of a Walmart, but I am curious since I do miss the Sears.
