The police just raced by, I was told there's a possible hostage situation. I don't know much.

Edit 9:07: Swat team just went by. Found an article on the PPG: http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/...center-654368/

PG has a breaking news that it's 3 Gateway Center. Guy says he has bomb, maybe a gun. Police are securing streets around the building and evacuating folks to Point State Park.

Well about 8:50 we were walking into the Gateway Plaza from the Stanwix side. The cops were around trying to keep the plaza clear of people (they hadn't blocked it off at least not at that time). We go into 1 Gateway to Crazy Mocha usually, and once we went in we weren't allowed to go out that way which is what he told us, he just wanted plaza clear. We got out by going down to the concourse level and through to the 625 Stanwix garage, the only way they'd let us go. Then walked around on Ft Duquesne Blvd.

Apparently they have been evacuating 3 Gateway but not the others. Saw a SWAT truck go by about 5-10 minutes ago. And here's another black armored vehicle just now.

The ramp from the Ft Duquesne Bridge to Ft Duquesne Blvd is closed.

Police are saying the guy *could* have a rifle, so stay out of sight lines.

Yeah we're not in line of sight over here.

There are still people standing around on Ft Duquesne between Gateway Towers and 1 Gateway. Lot of trees though between that and 3 Gateway so really can't see that as a problem.

Have the KDKA live web feed going. Sounds like they got everyone else out of there pretty quickly but the one guy that the gunman has hostage could still be in danger I'm sure. I don't think there's going to much danger for the rest of us in the area though.

The ramp to Liberty Ave from the Ft. Pitt Bridge was also closed (or at least it was an hour ago.)

Oh, chief is saying there might be two hostages, but there is at least one. No shots, nobody injured at this time, everyone else from the floor was evacuated safely. Basically no danger except inside that suite at this time. Police are on the floor up there.

Situation is still ongoing though and they don't yet have any lead on how they might come to a resolution. The hostage taker has not given them much to go on so far seems like. Or at least not anything that they're ready to tell us.
