Is anyone at all excited about ANYONE running? Sure feels blah and most don't seem to care in the least. Like Murphy or not, at least he worked at it and promoted areas of the city. Well especially the North Side.

Yes. There is a lot of excitement about both Peduto and Lamb. Peduto has raised more money, more quickly, than any mayoral candidate in the city's history. It was a standing-room only crowd at the first mayoral debate in Squirrel Hill a few weeks ago, and I think it's fair to say that the two non-incumbents got the substantial majority of the applause. If you follow city politics at all, the increase in enthusiasm about this election (over, say, 2009) has been unmistakable from the start, and has just grown substantially with the exit of Ravenstahl.

I dunno. I always thought Peduto was pretty responsive, but I admit it's not something I've pondered a ton since I don't have a vote. So I haven't really sought out what the complete pros and cons of Peduto or Lamb would be. Could be others running now with Luke out.

I'd love to see Onorato throw his hat into the ring.

I agree he shouldn't be insulted.

Not sure I'd agree with "high crime" but coming from you that just means outside of Fox Chapel.

Does it ever get tiring being afraid all the time Curtis? I would imagine it's exhausting.

I wouldn't be suprised to see him throw his hat into the ring now that Luke is stepping aside. He's only in his 60's now.
Why in the world would he do that since he is a sitting Allegheny County Common Pleas judge? That would be a huge step down.

I don't think it would be a step down at all. Commons Pleas Judge Harry Kramer ran for Pittsburgh mayor in the 1969 election.
