Sure it would be nice is people weren't pigs but I'm much less concerned about trash at an event in a stadium parking lot then the trash that people dump everywhere along the roads, empty lots or wooded park areas in the city all the time.
I have been to numerous concerts and I have never seen fans misbehave as badly and make a mess as bad as this show. Sorry. Not "every concert."

Don't get me started about the carts. They even make it easy on you by stationing those corrals around the parking lot. How difficult is it to walk the 10 feet after you've put your items in your car to push it to one of those?

Maybe next year Kenny can play at the Jamborree in the Hills venue, wherever that may be? I can understand a little litter after a major event, but this was inexcusable and reflects very poorly on Kenny Chesney and the caliber of people that he attracts. Trash is one thing, but these people left furniture, grills, clothing, kegs, urine and puke all over the North Side. There were 10 large fights and many arrests for underage drinking and public intoxication. It was like a hillbilly free-for-all with the wifebeater T-shirts, tattoos, confederate flags, pick up trucks and girls with tramp stamps. Really repulsive.

I can't wait to see the damage after Taylor Swift next week. Empty juice boxes and Capri Suns everywhere.

Agreed! It says a lot more about the people of Pittsburgh that our wooded streets and hillsides are covered in garbage and construction debris. While those parking lots are now clean, the street I have sent mutliple requests to 311 to have the pile of foam insulation cleaned up from, is not. The mess from Kenny Chesney seems to have stemmed from too much booze, and a lack of options. The dumping on our hillsides stems from an "out of sight, out of mind" mentality and general lack of respect for nature and others.

Overall, I agree it is not okay, but from what I heard, the lot attendants told people to just leave their trash in the lot when questioned with what to do with it. Next year I suggest they be more specific and let people know that they should put it in bags before leaving it in the lot. Sadly, people need to be told that.

Apparently the Drudge Report has gotten word about what happened on the North Shore and now his minnows are flooding the comments section on KDKA.

I saw this on FB too and found it funny.

While it does seem like the parking lots were by and large cleaned up by Sunday, the trash along the river is a different story. I went for a bike ride on the North Shore Trail yesterday evening and the river bank was virtually lined with trash roughly from the Science Center to PNC Park. Mostly trash that will get swept into the river rather than cleaned up. Even the trail itself had far more cigarette butts, broken glass, and bottle caps than normal.

Odd. My friends and I went running along the North Shore Trail this morning from just above the Heinz Lofts to about midway between PNC Park and Heinz Field, and we didn't see any litter---just a ton of geese. Was it worse further down closer to Heinz Field and Rivers Casino?

My friend parks in that ALCO lot and she says there is still a bit of broken glass about. Pretty cool for those folks that work for a living to get glass in their tires.
