I'm with Curtis... you should try harder. Did you try laying it on its back? Or on a diagonal angle. If that fails you may need to stand it on its end, go arms first, them pivot. And lots of times these old windows pop right out... or you can hire some Craigslist movers. They'll definitely get it done.

It don't think you guys are getting the haallllway. The hall runs across from me and in front of my door is a wall and to the left is the stairs. The windows are small no way a sofa is fitting. Sides the ac units are glued to them.

I will probably go to ikea to get a sofa I can assemble inside my apt. Right now I'm back in va getting stuff and visiting my doctor for the final time as I need some medication.

I'm missing pgh lol.

Stand it on end and try rotating it through the door top first?

It's quite possible that on end it's taller than the door. I get the idea, in that a straight sofa should be roughly L-shaped in profile, such that even if the back is also taller than 32" the arms may not be, and it could be rotated on its end through the doorway. But sofas are pretty damn long, often longer than the height of a doorway. And/or the arms might be higher than 32" as well, making it not fit through on end even if it's short enough in length.

Despite all the protestations about keep trying it, it is in fact possible that getting it through is impossible.

Problem is the wall/door that faces my door. Doesn't leave much room to angle it. The other folks have the hall facing their door and the hall isn't much wider than the doors.lol.

I'd like to note that I found drinking here is cheaper than in va. The bar I go to in bakery square would be cheap by nova standard, but here in pgh they would be somewhat upscale.

I also found out eating here is expensive. The same mcd item in va costs me $5.40. Here its almost $7!
Ugh I'm going to be broke lol.
