Default HOV lane crackdown

I'm not sure who is more ridiculous, the people that got pulled over, or the drivers upset at PSP for doing their job and pulling over violatars.

Ha. They even warned people earlier in the week that enforcement would be coming, and they still wrote like 60 tickets! Geez.

The problem is the combination of everything made the backup several miles longer than usual. Drive of the length of 279 including using the HOV (which was all clear by the time we got there) took 40-45 minutes longer than usual. This is not just because people didn't go in the HOV illegally but also because everything slowed to rubberneck of course.

It's what the North Hills has instead of a tunnel.

Well, I'll still take it over a tunnel that's there all the time.

no offense natives of PGH, but road signs here pretty much make it stupid proof to get around for the most part. the only ones that dont are those road with 2 lanes and they dont say which goes where(left turn only, etc). other than that, i never have had issues but parallel parking lol. already dented my baby trying to fit in a tight spot.
The lack of using a turn signal irritates me to no end. Not saying this is more of a problem here than "x" city, but I see it way too often.

I especially hate when you're heading northbound on North Negley Avenue (towards Stanton), and the left-hand lane suddenly becomes a left-turn only lane onto Black Street at the traffic light. I can't tell you how many accidents I'm almost in on a weekly basis as I'm (rightfully) proceeding straight in the right-hand lane, coast to the left to avoid parked vehicles, and almost take out another vehicle driven by someone who just decided to go straight in the left-hand turn lane.

Another bad area for this is Schenley Park. When you're driving on the Boulevard of the Allies outbound and just pass the light at Greenfield Road/Bartlett Road you'll start to proceed up a small hill into Squirrel Hill. The left-hand lane is a left-turn-only lane for Beacon Street. A few hundred feet ahead the right-hand lane becomes a right-turn-only lane towards the "Fruit Loop". To successfully proceed straight from the traffic light to Hobart Street you should be in the right-hand lane and then merge into the left-hand lane just past the Beacon Street intersection. The other day I was cut off TWICE---first by someone who went straight in the Beacon turn lane and then by someone who went straight from the "Fruit Loop" turn lane!

I've used my horn so much since moving here I'm afraid it's going to stop working.

That 'small' hill isn't quite so insignificant on a bike. That's my way home - I just keep as far right as I can and pedal hard. 'Tis a weird road section.

Think I'm going to start taking pics of dumb east end stop signs. I found some masterful ones this week on a new back street route.

I enjoy it when I'll be the only car sitting at the light in the left lane of the following link (804 East Ohio St heading west), someone will approach the light in the center lane who needs/wants to turn left to get onto 279 at the next light, and rather than merely pulling up behind me (as I said I'll be the only car when they approach) they will try to cut me off at the last second. This usually doesn't work because A. I'm pretty good at anticipating it, B.they don't anticipate that I'm going to move forward the moment the light turns, and C. my car is a junker that is usually worth far less than theirs. They get so angry and it's hilarious.

I also once saw someone (confused? drunk?) go the wrong way and turn left down onto the East Ohio/279 North exit ramp from 28 East/North late at night at that same light. Didn't hear about any major accidents on the news the following morning so I'm assuming he figured out his mistake and avoided a crash.
