anyway just something ive been thinking about since ive finally got into the gym
ps: i know some places do, but i think everyone should do it.
Just what we need, more govt regulations. Next thing you know when you go home to your Mom, she'll have to give you a calorie count on meatloaf.

My mom calculated the calories and fat for most of our meals.

For a while out here in California, they had complete nutrition listings available. I used them at every place we went, so I could find something within guidelines.

According to several waitresses at different places -- I was the only one.

They've gone to calories only. Makes my life harder.

I've learned I have to ask for green salads to sub out for French fries. I've learned that I can ask from whole wheat instead of white on most sandwiches. I ask for fresh cut fruit instead of potatoes at breakfast. I have become Substitution Sally.

I always ask, I always smile and I always tip lots.

And I'm lucky -- a lot of our smaller favorite restaurants are truly home cooked food, so they don't use outsized items. Omelets are 2 eggs, unless noted. Bread is normal sized not huge (unless it's sourdough).
