Does this house "fit in" on 44th Street, built on a standard narrow lot between 2 ordinary Lawrenceville homes.

It isn't done yet, but they are working on it and there is a drawing as to the way it is supposed to look when done.

Am I a fan of the design? No. But it's a hell of a lot better than this overpriced POS.

I'm not sure why the North Side can get nice, contextual infill which blends with the historic fabric, while South Side and Lawrenceville just get ultra modern, absolute dreck, or both. I mean, it's true that the North Side has historic districts, but they only govern historic buildings anyway, not infill. Why would buyers care about historic-looking properties north of the Allegheny, but nowhere else?

I'm not a fan of that - per se.

You'll probably be seeing a fair amount of modern new construction in the East End by Ben Maguire:

I'm pretty sure he's doing houses in Lawrenceville and East Liberty.

Andrew Moss is going to be doing some modern new construction in the East End as well.

There's always this beauty for only $670,000. Blends right in to the neighborhood fabric.

Seems proportional in comparison to the prices of the other listings.

Is that in Lville? Why are the windows so small? That's just strange.

I can't place this house, but it would definitely fit in Lawrenceville. A lot of the older houses in the community have had the original larger windows replaced with smaller ones.

That's not a remodeling job at all. They dug a hole, built this house as completely new construction.

Even worse. Remuddle-inspired architecture.
