I need to translate a couple of documents for my parents from Ukrainian and Russian to English. Can someone recommend me a certified interpreter or maybe you know where I can look for one in Pittsburgh? Thanks in advance!

P.S. Google gives me a bunch of firms located elsewhere, not Pittsburgh. Hence asking here

I'd contact the Languages departments at Pitt and CMU, or the Carnegie Libraries. They might be able to point you in the right direction.

Maybe try the synagogues. I'm not sure which one, but at least one of them will have lots of immigrants from Russia and the Ukraine.

The Public Defender's Office has to deal with this all the time. Ask for the preliminary hearing department.

Just got a reply from Pitt slavic department secretary and she just said she doesn't know anyone. I doubt she asked anybody though based on quick response. :/

Jewish Family & Children's Service of Pittsburgh - Immigrants & Refugees

If this is immigration related, they should be able to help. Or at least point you in the right direction.

Thanks! I wrote to them, they didn't respond. In fact none of the places I wrote to ask about this responded to me. In any case, I have figured it out: it turns out I am allowed to do the translation by myself and then notarize anywhere.
