I think ANY employee of the school district can live anywhere they wish in the County. All other employees of the City MUST live in the city limits. Is that still true? I always thought to be so wrong, and I wonder why it's never come to light with recent attempts by the cops to be free of that condition of employment.

You are confusing the number of days that kids attend school with the number of days that teachers are actually required to work every year. But don't let facts get in the way of your teacher bashing.

Gosh, I don't know why we have such a hard time finding well-qualified teachers in so many places. Such a cush job it is, and you get so much respect and trust from the community! Truly, a mystery of our times.

I agree. Not all teacher's jobs in Allegheny county are easy or well paid. Wilkinsburg SD is one of many examples where it is very hard to find well qualified candidates. In part, because not every good teacher is comfortable wearing a bulletproof vest to class every day.

Wilkinsburg HS is sort of a moot point at this stage.

Hopefully. As we all know it is the school name that matters.
