I don't know what took me so long to go see the Hays bald eagles but I took the family yesterday and it was pretty cool. As many probably know there is a massive nest visible to the naked eye and one of the eagles seems to stay quite close perched on a nearby limb also easily visible. I do recommend taking binoculars and watching out for other people using the trail as it's easy to get distracted looking at these amazing animals. That is all.

I like the webcam close ups.

The third egg sits unhatched.

Mom's head feathers remind me of Phyllis Diller, if anyone here is old enough to remember her. I think of Mr. Eagle as Fang.

Some lady on Elysian in Point Breeze just posted on NextDoor that a big wild turkey smashed through her third-floor bathroom window and landed in her tub this morning. (It escaped before they could get it plucked, unfortunately, so they'll be going to johntiggle to pick up supper after all.)

Let's see your balliggles top that, if they can!
