News to me. Was walking on Smithfield & noticed a valet parking sign for embassy suites; had no idea we had one here. Hilton is hitting the burgh hard with hotels

I hadn't walked over that way in a hot second... was surprised to see a new hotel and parking garage next to Market Square.

It is quite nice inside, with a heated pool to boot!

I think it takes up the top 10 or 12 floors of the Oliver Building. And the pool is on the top floor. Quite a swimming view!

It's my building. The Manager's reception isn't in the Main Bar room but rather in the restaurant area and they give out drink tickets at check-in, so that old room key that you keep in your wallet won't work. They have more safeguards in place than your normal Embassy Suites

Too bad. I've only stayed at a couple of embassy suites & some are as you described but others are a total free for all & I've wondered how often some locals come by for some free booze.

I actually didn't know they did such a thing. Will have to put Kimpton hotels on my radar next time I go somewhere.
