Talk about a black eye?

Pittsburgh gets delinquent bill shut-off warning from its own water authority | TribLIVE

I loved the one comment at the end that a reader left;

"And these are the same idiots who actually think they have a chance of landing Amazon..."

It’s not like the PWSA needs the money

Funny how this stuff happens AFTER Peduto's re-election.

All the steps that led to this happening occurred prior to the election if you read the article.

I am not at all surprised by this. The PWSA has some serious issues with administering billing. They sent me a shutoff notice despite my paying the bill on time with an auto-debit since the day I moved into my home. This looks like a PWSA administrative issue and not at all like a city government issue.

For all of its mismanagement PWSA did nothing wrong that I can see here - the City failed to inform them that the County was no longer paying the water bill.

OK, but it's ridiculous. Public trust suffers. Really, is there an employee at the County that ignored that email, or who recycled a letter from the City saying "it's not our problem anymore, tough luck"????

How does this happen without someone being held accountable?

A bunch of people in my neighborhood are reporting getting $1000+ bills from PWSA or shutdown notices for non-payment when they haven't been receiving bills.
