It seems there are a lot of right leaning posters on here concerned about crime and homicides. The news is not reporting the skyrocketing murder rates in states that lean right. While crime has risen in left leaning cities, the rate of increase is not near those that lean right.

https://www.thirdway.org/report/the-...murder-problem

Maybe this is why there are posters on here showing concern. It is a veiled attempt at gun control.

Jacksonville Florida is one of the most dangerous cities in the country. They have a GOP mayor.

That city hit 100 homicides for the year August 1. I’m not even sure where it is now. Probably eclipsing 120 or 130.

I bring this up because yes there is crime in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. However Allegheny County is larger than Jacksonville and Duvall County combined. Their homicide rate is very high. While big Ed Gainey is not a crime whiz. The Jacksonville GOP mayor is failing big time with fighting crime.

Lol. If you’re going to deflect to other cities don’t forget Philly, NY, Chicago, etc…

Speaking of Florida, DeSantis is +11 in the polls and is a lock, so another prediction, this one of him losing, is once again wrong.

I watched the local live Ft Myers news coverage of Hurricane Ian on youtube. They broadcast commercials too after the first couple days. One of these was a political ad for DeSantis that was the most effective political ad I've ever seen. He'll beat Trump in the primaries hands down.

Love DeSantis. We’ll be in DeSantisLand for the next 5-7 months starting next week. Absolute pleasure compared to our clown Governor here.

Don't go to Ft Myers or Sanibel. The hurricane even took their beaches.

Hard to believe that the dramatic increase in crime and homicide isn't tied to defund the police and general disrespect of police that commenced January 2020 and has been getting worse ever since. You can connect dots quite easily as to who is to blame. Hop on your bicycle and ride the GAP Trail - it'll take you there.

Weak gun laws are to blame for the rise in violent crime.
