Yup - not to mention the existing shelters and stops are absolutely littered with garbage from the undesirables who can't clean up after themselves; total lack of disrespect for their neighborhood.

You're not kidding. I pick up litter around Marshall-Shadeland a few days per week, and it never ceases to amaze me that there is litter inside the bus shelters when there are city trash cans within 10 feet of the bus shelter. This is how lazy society has become that while sitting on a bench waiting for the bus we would rather throw an empty pop bottle or Doritos bag onto the ground instead of walking three steps over to the trash can and disposing of these items properly so they don't just end up blowing into our rivers.

At least up here there seems to be a little movement of anti-littering starting up because without provocation there are now roughly four others who regularly pick up litter around the neighborhood. There are still city residents who care. We're not all worthless. Oh, and I'm a Democrat, so not all Democrats are lazy criminal apologists who just want handouts and litter everywhere despite what the Republicans on this board would lead some to believe. Moderate Democrats do exist, just like Moderate Republicans also exist. For some reason we all tend to focus on the 10% "Burn it down" crowd on the left or the 10% "Storm the Capitol" crowd on the right. 80% of the country's residents aren't functional morons.

Thanks for caring. And with a windy night we just had said litter ends up scattered everywhere.

I even see homeless in the east end sleeping in the bus shelters. So gross. I don’t think we need more shelters. If anything we need less. They are used for toilets as well.
