Why are property taxes raising for long established residents. Did the city start appealing houses recently?

Presumably this is an attempt to line things up before the next county-wide reassessment. Wasn't the last one back in 2011?

the base assessment year is 2012. There is no county wide assessment scheduled at this time. There will only be a reassessment if ordered by a judge. Fun fact, PA is the only state in the US that does not have any laws in regard to reassessment schedule of property. We have a common level ratio system that is supposed to equalize taxes ongoing.
