Will someone please list for me (the more the better) any predominatly black areas in the Pittsburgh area with a low crime rate. I'm concerned about quality of life issues. Street level intimadation. Broken windows etc. And with the reasonable expectation that I will be left alone.

thanks

While not entirely "majority black," Stanton Heights has a reputation of being a bastion of the black middle class in the city.

I have to ask why you are looking for a safe majority black neighborhood? It stands to reason that almost everyone wants a safe neighborhood and almost everyone with the financial means moves to to one, regardless of race.

mr.mon, Perhaps I was'nt clear. I was talking about my safety. I also want to thank you for your insightful social commentary but my motives are unimportant and off topic. I dont mind really, just not here not now. Also, middle class was'nt a requirement. Diversity without injury. That should be easy.

Hi Subdivisons,

I want to thank you for taking the time to respond to the question.
This gives me a place to start.
Researching the demos, news stories etc. is not helpful. I would never
consider living where I do now from that info. Thanks again.
