Jeanette is in Westmoreland County near Irwin and Greensburg which is the county seat. I was only there once and the town itself seemed old and kind of run down. That was years ago. I had friends from the area and they were all terrifically nice people. Jeanette is rarely on the news for anything so I doubt there would be much crime there. It's a good location near the main highway and PA Turnpike. Lots of shopping areas/malls.

Default Jeannette City

I grew up in Greensburg, which is right next to Jeannette. I also have family still living in Jeannette. Let me know what specific questions you have so I can answer them.

I just happened to click onto this site and read your email regarding Jeannette. The city of Jeannette has a pop of approx 10,000 according to the 2000 census. The city is in the process of a major revitalization project which includes the new construction of 20 for sale single family homes in addition to 2 nine unit townhomes along with the downtown revit project. There is more information that I could provide which I would be glad to, please email me. I also have a map of the area that I would be happy to send to you.
