Country star Toby Keith brings eatery to Pittsburgh's South Side

I am not much of a country bumpkin, but I guess this is good news for Pittsburgh. It is good to know that deep pocketed investors from outside of the region are willing to invest in Pittsburgh.

hey, I agree with you 100%!

btw, the area has a couple of popular country (radio) stations so I'd say there's
already a built-in customer base for it to succeed

God help me. The day Pittsburgh becomes a 'country music' city is the day I'm leaving town for good.

Great, more hillbillies driving in to the city, honking and yelling at cyclists on the roads, then imibibing a healthy quantity of beer before driving back out to the 'burbs and beyond.
Although from a purely economic standpoint, I agree that this is good news.

Ditto!

Wrecked my truck, got drunk, my wife cheated, my trailer burnt down, my dog died.

That about sums up CW.

I agree with the last 5 comments. The last thing this area needs is MORE country! I live in western suburbs and see enough hillbillies out there.

It'll get turned into a frat bar, just like the Hofbrauhaus has become.

Just like the "hillbillies" need a little culture in their lives, you yuppie uppity ups need a little country in yours! Live a little. Can't wait to go down and get me some Captain and coke in a big mason jar! Lots of good music out at the one in Vegas. Always had fun there and I am not the biggest country fan.
