emergency unemployment? how long does it have to be to be considered an emeregency?

seems to me that 99 weeks of unemployment is 75 weeks too much already.

That's nice. Now all those people can just go on welfare and food stamps. Then Congress can work on abolishing that! Way to go Congress!!

So why didn't the Dems concede and put some cuts in place to offset extending UE ??

Some yes, some no.

There are limits as to how much you can own and be on welfare.

Our neighbor just transferred his cottage to his sister for this reason.

Again you cannot compare your situation to mine. Where do you live? I live in the bay area and am too broke to move and have virtually no family. I have more diverse experience than most my age and still cannot find work. Am I defeated? NO, I am just trying to get across that everyone's situation is different and you can't lump people into a welfare bracket.
Ya, it's part of the ego-centric makeup of Repugs to think everyone should be just like them(banish the thought!)

The unemployed ARE finding out that employers aren't hiring people who have been laid off the longest. How do the unemployed know this?

Because they are TRYING to find jobs.

Everyone IS different....and thankfully different from Repugs.

The plight of a single person with no children is different than a person with kids.....

Someone with kids can NOT take a job that only pays for daycare.....that would be stupid!

Why are Repugs so stupid about money , budgets, using money wisely???

Yes, I know. I was just being sarcastic. It's really hard to get on actual welfare here in AZ and even food stamps sometimes. There are many 'conditions', requirements and hoops to jump through.
