What? I thought he was supposedly on death's door when the British released him from prison? This is just as insane as when the British released all the IRA terrorists one Christmas for a 3 day furlough as part of the Good Friday Bow Down to Terrorists and Give into their demands affair, and then wondered why they dident come back.
HM Prison Service and the UK Home Office are clearly among the most incompetent, naive boobs to walk the face of the Earth.
That's the modern UK for you ... always bowing down to terrorists, dictators, and tyrants.
Whatever happened to the famous British resolve that we saw in 1940 and as recently as 1982?
What's sad is that from my time in the UK I know that the average person isn't such a pushover. A lot of them did however congratulate themselves for the supposedly humane action of releasing them but they at least thought he'd be dead soon. It's mostly the government that panders to anything and everything.
The Justice Secretary said he was unapologetic about including Abdelbaset al Megrahi in the agreement, citing a multi-million-pound oil deal signed by BP and Libya six weeks later.

Mr Straw admits that when he was considering in 2007 whether the bomber should be included in a prisoner transfer agreement (PTA) with Libya, Britain’s trade interests were a crucial factor.
Documents published this week showed Mr Straw originally promised that a PTA would only be reached with Libya if Megrahi was excluded. But he later caved in to Libyan demands to include Megrahi. It followed a warning from BP that a failure to include the bomber could hurt the oil giant’s business interests.
When asked in the interview if trade and BP were factors, Mr Straw admits: “Yes, [it was] a very big part of that. I’m unapologetic about that... Libya was a rogue state.
“We wanted to bring it back into the fold. And yes, that included trade because trade is an essential part of it and subsequently there was the BP deal.”

In January 2008, Libya ratified a $900 million (£551 million) oil deal with BP.
I cut and pasted this from another board , now I believe BP paid off officals to make more money . I am glad it was Democrats that took this bribe or drilling would go extinct .
