That's not true at all. They did all of the things they're complaining about. They spent their asses off. At least with the Democrats, they're spending to try to spur economic development. It may be "socialism" in the Glenn Beck 2010 definition of socialism (that's never before been used in the 150 year history of socialism), but it's better than crony capitalism.

Really, because they didn't to Bush.

And, no, you don't just say no. You offer alternative solutions.

Quadruple the deficit? Do you mean the deficit was at $2T when Obama came into office?

Or did you get that from Sean Hannity's program, or where?

"SUMMARY: On America's Newsroom, on-screen text falsely claimed that President Obama's $3.6 trillion FY 2010 budget is "4x bigger than Bush's costliest plan." In fact, President Bush submitted a $3.1 trillion budget for FY 2009 and a $2.9 trillion budget for FY 2008."

Ok, but keep in mind that you're asking for another recession.

Default Gov't as God -- Gets Credit for Everything Good

No, government spending did not save my family's jobs, nor the jobs of anyone we know. We don't have anything to do with the road-building companies that rip-up and repave the same roads twice a year (and apparently are owed a favor by this administration), and we don't work for the government.

On the other hand, we ARE now facing losing our employer-paid health benefits, thanks to Obamacare, as well stratospheric tax rates (when have just enough left over from taxes to pay our other bills right now) to deal with the $13 trillion debt and ongoing deficit spending at all levels of government.

You seem to think that government could employ EVERYONE in the US, and we'd be prosperous. What you're missing is that government only takes money that one person earned, and gives it to someone else (after taking a 90% cut for the government bureaucracy). The private sector is the host that government must parasitize off of. The government tax burden is now so high that the host is sick and dying.

It's not just coincidence that the only businesses we see thriving now are banks, chain pharmacies and WalMart. These high-profit but minimal- employee businesses are not going to employ a constantly-increasing number of workers needing jobs.

Government is killing the small businesses that actually would provide sustainable jobs, via overtaxation at all levels. The "Mom-and-pop" businesses don't generate enough income to meet the obscene burden of local, state and federal taxation (to say nothing of the regulatory burden). It's why all our jobs have been sent overseas. It's why the manufacturing sector has shrunk to 11% of the economy, when that sector was the reason our Country became a world power. It's why the only restaurants you see are chain restaurants, and there are increasingly fewer of them.

Government is not the answer to the nation's problems. It IS the nation's problems.
