Why is this thread title so misleading?

The protest is not on MLK Day at all, appears someone is stretching the truth to get a reaction.

Because it's the anniversary of the I Have A Dream speech. I'm not even going to go thru all that again and the significance thereof. Why is Alverda King so important to the likes of Glenn Beck? Here's an interesting perspective on Dr. Alverda King......a perspective with which I agree: Imagine, the niece of one the Greatest Figures in American History (A man gunned down by Racism) sitting at the table with a White, Alcoholic, Paranoid, Gallagher Funny Comedian who, not long ago, called the First Black President (Made Possible By the Sacrifice of God Only Knows) a “Racist,” to discuss the similarities between a Rural, Upper Middle Class, Almost Exclusively White Crybaby ***** Festival with one of the most Profound Examples of Good Triumphing Over Evil in Human History....from black magpie theory..........Alveda King, and Glenn Beck- Strange Fruits. Indeed. | Black Magpie Theory

Simple enough question I would think.

To be truthful Oz, they don't want ANYONE resurrecting MLK's ideals. Why do you think that no black org has been to that site each year trying to keep the dream alive? They don't want it! If it ever happens, they won't have a crutch anymore and can't play victim. That's the way I see it.

And???
The speech is about the need for color to NOT matter, seems those who think they know the mind of MLK want to keep racial divisiveness alive....

Also remember,MLK was just a man, fallible and flawed like the rest of us.

Some seem to(when they find it convenient) think he is above us mere humans.
