" The masses are asses. We know this. But the level of ignorance displayed by the attendees at the “Restoring Honor” rally is shocking even by contemporary standards."

From the 'news' article:

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which an unskilled person makes poor decisions and reaches erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the metacognitive ability to realize their mistakes. The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average, much higher than it actually is, while the highly skilled underrate their abilities, yada yada yada.

Can't we keep Obama outta this one?

It is quite clear that Glenn Beck is a master propagandist with a chilling and Svengali-like power over the lemmings of the New Right. Beck-watching is compelling (to me at least) because his popularity is a barometer of the toxins in our political atmosphere. Moreover, I wonder if Beck’s followers would be so slavish as to follow him off a cliff, and to what extremes would the tea party brigands go in their devotion to his cult of personality.

Sounds about right to me. This "Dunning-Kruger Effect" really puts concisely into words, what the people that are hip to Beck/Palin nonsense are very aware of.

So the million man march, a bunch of ignorant imps. The anti-war rallies, a crowd of morons.

Can Liberals just come out and say it more directly instead of through insinuation, that they believe that they are smarter than everyone on Earth?

Yes, it certainly does. There is one thing that separates Glenn's followers from the Obama lemmings. His study, presentation and teaching (chalkboard talks) point toward historical truth and the misdirection of the left. He also points out the errors made by the elitist right. That is something Glenn's people will not continue to follow and would wish to change, if we can. The left is only up in arms because someone has the guts to line it out for all to see.

True education is powerful.

Today's "Liberal" is not yesteryear's "Liberal".

Using government to coerce donors to surrender their labor and property for the benefit of recipients is nothing less than institutionalized piracy.

"No one should suffer because he lacks {fill in the blank}", must be prefaced with "No one should be compelled to labor for another, so that ..."

Compulsory labor for the benefit of another is slavery.

Slavery is never an acceptable solution to the ills of mankind.

Those who object to slavery are anything but stupid. Those who promote slavery to the Collective have no moral high ground to stand upon.

When I read that stuff I had to wonder if who is being talked about in that effect would be determined by who is doing the talking. In other words I see just what is said in progressives.

The cherry picking on that video was surely great. I bet that guy interviewed many people who wouldn't fit on there. What were there, about 7 different people over and over?

Everybody cherry picks...I'll give you that, but do you not realize that you do not post quotes or info other than what Beck puts out there? Doesn't that seem a bit odd to you? Where is the poitician that you support? Where is the the author that you admire? It's always Beck and that is very much in line with what the article states. I know that you are not unintelligent, but do you not see how you are following Beck in lockstep without question even when presented with his fabrications and lies? Snap out of it!
