U.S. authorities charged 94 doctors, nurses and clinic owners with scheming to defraud the taxpayer-funded Medicare program out of $251 million, Attorney General Eric Holder said on Friday.
He said 36 defendants had been arrested so far in five cities in "the largest federal healthcare fraud take-down in our nation's history."
Its ok to bust American citizens who abuse our institutions for profit and gain. However don't you ever think about touching an illegal alien who does the same thing. Thanks for the two sided socialist policies Eric. Enforce the laws that bolster your bosses fascist health care plan and ignore the laws bolster your parties undocumented voters.
I do think this system has been ripped off many times by greedy doctors, but I would agree if these were all convicts, illegals or whatever victim status you would choose, they would get a pass. I do hope this administration cleans up the Medicare abuse and then go after the Medicaid abuse as well.

There have been continuing si=cuh cases reported in maimi for decades now. It seem that there is more poppig up evry year because the system is so easy to committ fraud. The same is true of other entitlements also. Often its so easy because in many the patients come i and are actaully paid a fee when they leave for comig in. Its a vast conspracy to defaud the american taxpayers.In conjunstion the same people involved are often the same one the program is meant to help. Sad really that their is so much widespread fruad in the nation has a whole.
CMS could stop this fraud in a heart beat if it required an original prescription signed by the ordering physician to accompany the CMN. If my doctors didn't order the item and note the order in the chart, the CMNs we receive go into the shred bin. If one of our patients requests items they have to call the office and get a prescription.

You didn't catch the part in the article about the arrests of 94 doctors, nurses and clinic owners? They were billing Medicare for services they never preformed and if they would do that they'd also write fake prescriptions for the CMS. That's wholesale Medicare fraud which accounts for most of the fraud.
