Why in your opinion are Americans always hating people that are different than them?

I think its because Americans are more accepting of ignorance than many other groups of people. I went to school in Atlanta, and I was often belittled or called "acting white" for getting good grades. The willingness to look down on people, who do not act the way you feel they should, is very alarming. This behavior being universally accepted in this nation is the acceptance of ignorance, and this behavior greatly transfers to adulthood in this society.

I know of a lot of academically successful blacks and Latinos and I doubt the majority of them would hate on you just because you were earning good grades. Did you dress differently? Did you follow a different denomination? Did you enjoy different hobbies? There has to be other reasons why they didn't like you.

I agree. It's usually the majority group in each city that point the fingers and then claim to be victims when they are tongue lashed.

"There has to be other reasons why they didn't like you"???
Says who?

You missed the point. The ones dealing the grief are the ones with the poor grades. Pure jealousy.
