The Republicans are being held up as the stumbling block to extending benefits yet again. But in truth all they're asking for is a way to pay for this added extension. I read somewhere earlier today that Obama is like a teenager with his first credit card - spend, spend, spend today with no thought about what will happen when the bill comes due. B O's lack of understanding of economics is appalling. He seems to have no concept of not spending money you don't have. I often wonder how he manages his own personal finances although I guess while in the White House he has someone else do that for him. He's just so darned irresponsible and has no concept of delayed gratification - he wants what he wants when he wants it.

I know several people who WILL NOT GO BACK TO WORK because they are getting unemployment. They can get a job tomorrow if they wanted it.

Must be a quandary for Obama. Extend benefits and have high unemployment numbers or stop them and have lower unemployment numbers. I guess they are on the side of, give people something free and they will vote for you forever. Sad that company owners are hurting for help and more workers but can't find anyone to hire.

What a racist comment. Have anything intelligent to say about the topic?

I just read about 1000 people applying for a job at walmart. Let us know what companies are hurting for help? I sure don't see any. Maybe these employers you speak of have unrealistic expectations, like paying below the minimum wage?
