Oakland could approve a plan Tuesday to set up four marijuana factory farms, a step that could usher in the era of Big Pot.

I think they already call it "Oaksterdam" (a play on "Amsterdam"). This should solidify its reputation.

Is this really the way we want to spend our federal tax dollars?

These large factories might cause a direct conflict with the DEA in the national - or international - eye. I'm excited (hopeful and a little nervous) to see how it goes.

Really, where's the water coming from? Isn't this the area where the water was turned off for regular farmers because of some little fish. I could have the area wrong but I thought it was somewhere near San Francisco.

Dont be surprised when the ATF and the FBI raid them upon final construction.

I am too. Eric Holder did say that they would not raid medical marijuana dispensaries, but this may be going a step too far for the federal government to accept. We'll see.
