Wrong. Other companies would have stepped in bought those companies for a song and dance and the machine would have kept on rolling. Ford would have probably found financing somewhere to make some of the those discounted purchases themselves.
You mean capitalism would have saved those suppliers and Ford? I doubt you get many on the left to believe that.
Harry Reid: Auto Bailout Probably Saved Ford.......... Earth to Reid..... Earth to Reid..... "come in please" from whichever planet you are on.......FORD my friend did NOT take your Friendly (or substitute another word of your choosing that begins with F) BAILOUT!
The bailout did help Ford. GM, Ford, and Chrysler use common parts suppliers. If GM and Chrysler go under, those parts suppliers go under and Ford is without parts suppliers and also goes under.
ahh no.. if GM and Chrysler went under, Ford would have to increase production and buy more parts from other companies..
Well, now old Harry is probably right, the auto bailout did at least help Ford. A lot of people who were so against Goverment Motors decided to purchase a Ford instead of a GM or Dodge. So it did help Ford's bottom line.

Just like John Kerry made me switch to Hunt's
Go ahead Monsieur Kerry, take credit, people are eating that watery garbage because of your wife.
Hey, just had a brain flash. There is a good reason Reid and all those other soon-to-be-unemployed Dems are fighting so hard to extend unemployment benefits...

Huh ?
You're really not serious are you? This just proves my point that the Left has NO business sense!
