in this case, multiple factors. all kinda people go nuts and kill people on the job, black and white brown-- makes no difference. omar just happened to be black. whatever chip you got on your shoulder to boot only makes the pressure worse.
if you feel you are a victim of society--- any reprisal seems appropriate.
workers going beserk and killing people on the job is a sign of 12% umemployment.

This guy (who was Black) targeted only his White male co-workers apparently. Was he a racist? Can this be considered a hate crime?

Are people really surprised anymore, some will disagree but a lack of God in society, lack of responsible parents who believe talking to a child will solve their behavior problems. Absent parents, parents trying to act the same age as their children, grandmothers at 30, etc.

This society is tearing itself apart, no race, sex, or social-economic group is immune.

I feel bad for the families of the murdered victims.

While this may have nothing to do with the story, I feel concealed carry is more important than ever. While the gunman used a firearm against others in retaliation, a concealed carry holder might have been able to stop his rampage before it even got started. Guns take lives, but they also save lives. God be with the families of the slain.

Interesting. Denmark is one of the most "godless" societies. They have about the lowest percentage of believers. Consequently, the country ranks really high for "happiness" of the people. It is also one of the least violent places on Earth.

Omar Thornton a driver at the beer distributor, was caught stealing beer and was called in this morning so they could ask him to resign. His reaction? Kill. No taking personal responsibility for your own actions, rather you decide screw it youll just kill a bunch of people and then yourself?! What a loser.

God be with the dead, injured, and their families.

I will never understand what drives someone to do something like this. Especially in this situation where it was HIS actions that led to his losing of his job. And, heck, they were even going to let him resign rather than fire him.

People need to learn personal responsibility and need a better appreciation and respect for life in general. You want to die, fine, kill your pathetic self, but you're nothing but a coward to take others with you.
We live in a country that feels it's completly ok to show hundreds of murders depticted daily. But God forbid we see a pair of boobs or 2 people having sex... And we're surprised when people act out what they see constantly on TV...

I think it is simply the fact that modern American society is much more violent then modern European society. This country was forged from a violent revolution and Americans have gotten so good at fighting both at home and abroad. There is a reason why European men are stereotyped as being "weenies".

Not directly. I would pin it more on people like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the NAACP, and all the enablers of these people which includes the vast majority of the Democratic party. They constantly preach that whitey is always out to get the black man, which makes some blacks paranoid, some extremely paranoid, and when people are paranoid, they do crazy and sometimes violent things. Obama has been running around the country whipping up racial issues and the liberals and mainstream media have been pushing the race card harder than ever before. Its only logical that some of the blacks that buy into this are going to become so paranoid and uptight about life that they will make horrible decisions like this guy did.

Today's shooting is just another symptom of this country's massive problem with race card playing and the victimhood mentality that is endorsed and promoted by liberals. More blacks are going to snap as time goes on, living in constant paranoia that whitey is out to get them....

Yes this guy is an Obama fan and a Democrat, but that has nothing to do with what he did today. I didnt start this thread to imply that. And others shouldnt either.

Could he be a racist? Sure. But its not racism or even influence by the likes of Sharpton, NAACP, etc that led to his horrific acts today. It was HE that killed. No one else can be blamed. Heck, even if he was told by Sharpton himself that he needs to take violent action, its no ones fault but HIS.
