You forget, Muslims also died on 9/11, over 50 were in and around the WTC towers that had nothing to do with the attack.
So just because a few sensitive god fearing followers are uppity because of their hatred of Muslims, you want to not allow them their building to be built?
They have a right to build their building anywhere they want.

So what? There are 100 churches within a 5 mile radius of where I live. I don't attend any of them, but go to a church that is 10 miles away (because of the open nature of the church)

I have several Muslim friends. And they've demonized those who practice Radical Islam for the very reasons why we hate those who follow it.

No it was RADICAL ISLAMIC followers who destroyed the WTC Towers and attacked America.

Can we condemn all of Christianity for the acts of the Family International religious group? The group that kidnaps and enslaves children and uses them in child pornography, and commit acts of rape against them?
If you want to paint with that broad brush, you have to accept that there are equally extremist followers of Christianity who do as much barbaric acts against humans as any other extremist religious followers.

My answer is simple most who are very strongly against child porno are actually the religious right(christian groups). The family international religious group and other christian groups which committe crimes in the name of christianity is a very small portion not enough to create an army to attack america and other nations. If you ask any minster or priest or any religious leader in the christian community about this group they will denounce it. The imam of this mosque wont denounce radical islam and obama. There deliberate, in your face course this Imam and others are taking with this Mosque deserves attention, and frankly they need to be investigated. This Imam has said enough to warrant attention from the FBI and a thorough investigation needs to be done on his past, his ties, and his funding.
If this mosque goes forward, they sure as hell better at least change their ground breaking date from 9/11 to something different. And I hope the FBI infiltrates them as well as other mosques throughout the country and keeps tabs on them.
