So we're not supposed to be looking into who is building/funding the Mosque, but its ok for the govt to investigate if someone is funding the opposition.
Last I checked it costs nothing to say I don't approve of the Mosque. People can get that opinion (or the contrary position) without any funding or brainwashing.

How does getting to the bottom of who is funding the campaign to denounce the mosque stifle free speech? Disclosure is part of free speech. Most people relaize that it is the right wing fear tactics at work here. Why not bring it out into the light of day? It's a red herring to get the subject changed off of the more pressing issues of the day. The right wing fear machine is infamous for utilizing the "be very afraid" maneuver to win hearts of the mindless.
It's called intimidation tactics. Threaten to investigate anyone who speak out in protest = intimidation.
Andrew Cuomo should be investigating the funding for this mosque as it is his job. Nanny Pelosi needs to clean her swamp as there are many more House Reps. whom deserve ethics investigations.
