If it isn't from CNN it isn't news!

Yes, I remember Bush well in 2005 when he took a summer long vacation in Texas while the nation was suffering under a staggering unemployment rate of 4.63%.

Thank God for Obama!

All Republicans: "So what?"

All of Washington DC closes down in August---always has, always will. Because Obama doesn't have a family compound to go to like our past richer presidents---JFK, Johnson, Reagan, both Bushes, etc.---his vacations are going to look different on the surface than the other presidents who have gotten out of Washington when the government bodies are ebbing. He's not taking anymore time off than his predecessors; he's just getting more coverage because he's not unwinding in a family compound where reporters can't follow.

with the amount of scrutiny he faces on everything from wiping his own ass to managing two wars, the economy, all types of unforeseen natural disasters, all types of things that happen in this country (the racial stuff, the poll numbers, etc.) i feel like he should be allowed to go on a vacation with his family.

he can't even cough without somebody getting bent out of shape.

Camp David. That's his "family compound."

Forget about that one?
