Building a mosque/community center near Ground Zero is "poor judgment".

This is just a cake. Eat it, and enjoy it.

lol--how many carbs, how much sugar--those are the serious issues.

Does Winn Dixie care about obesity? And what about the eggs used in the cake--salmonella free or should consumers be concerned?

Cakes--one of life's great mysteries is why TLC has 4 or 5 shows on the making and decorating of cakes, FWIW. I haven't seen any politically incorrect cakes when I happen to tune in but the Cake Boss' mother got very upset when he made a 'naughty' cake for a bachelorette party. Exciting episode.

Was probably for a re-enactment ceremony. Imagine! all the soldiers eat all the processed sat fat, butter, and lard would add a whole new meaning to firing cannons!

All this tells me is that the "spokesman" for Winn-Dixie is a spineless worm. Is there no groveling low to which some people will not cravenly cave in to the PC crowd?

I don't want to turn this into a discussion/debate on the Confederate Flag. There are literally dozens of threads for that. I just want to vent a bit by expressing total disgust over just how penetrating a point it has reached where a "spokesman" (sorry, spokesPERSON!), for a major company feels a need to apologize for decorating a cake (and I don't give a damn if it was a Malcomb X cake) according to the customer market and had no "racist" intent in mind, anyway.

How pathetic! I wish there was "barf-bag" emotive here...

A lot of people see the Confederate Flag as a symbol of Southern pride. Why should Southerners be ashamed of being Southern?

Judgement is subjective. A lot of Americans believe homosexuality and Islam are morally unacceptable. Would Winn Dixie also be criticized for making a cake with a (gay) rainbow flag on it? How about an Islamic flag?

Corporate policy is probably being reviewed as we speak.

As a customer--I would then order a plain sheet cake, purchase some icing from Winn Dixie and go home and make any kind of cake I wanted.

It could have been for a grandparent's 90+ birthday. Certain the intent was not to offend. <shrug>

OMG I greatly offended by the D word Winn-D****"! The D word, I don't believe this racist store used the D word!

I am outraged! I demand apologies it's racism, plain and simple racism! Being outraged and offended will bring me anything I want.
