Anyone who actually takes anything from that alternet website at the link seriously needs to stop a minute and think hard. It's so full of hatred and vitriole for certain people, that it's not even funny.
Including the masses who voted for Obama and/or fell over in tears over his speeches?
Or does it only apply to certain masses? Masses who don't agree with your philosphies or who otherwise somehow don't fit into your subjective mold of the way they need to be?
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which an unskilled person makes poor decisions and reaches erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the metacognitive ability to realize their mistakes. The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average, much higher than it actually is, while the highly skilled underrate their abilities, yada yada yada.

Thanks to this rally of his, I now think Glenn Beck is an idiot. Prior to, I thought he was a pretty smart guy who led some fascinating arguments against leftist agendas.
