Did anyone else catch the brief interview this morning with Rangel?

Did he play the race card against Powell?...Was Rangel's comments that he has "good looks" alluding to Powell's skin color?

Does this Rangel have an ounce of intergrity?

I don't think he was playing the race card. The district is actually majority Hispanic now anyway. FTR I was pulling for Powell.

NO - he was acknowledging an obvious FACT - Powell looks good - Rangel is - well, Rangel.

Oh and the answer to your last question is no.

Classic example of a race baiting thread. Could not have come with a better example.

Powell is a good looking man. Nothing racist about it.
Some people see racism in everything. Sad for you.

If you have nothing intelligent to say, it's best to say nothing.

It's certainly a fair question to ask...especially with someone like Rangel.

And here you are with your boilerplate comment...How very original....And it was a whole sentence.

I cant find the interview that your talking about however this thread was 10 on my Google search "Rangel interview" last 24 hrs.
To be honest on Rangel, what happens in the ethics community remains to be seen but he is the best answer for Harlem. He is well liked, knows the community and their needs.
The Area needs a Democrat to represent them because they offer the type of support that it needs. A republican in office from Harlem would only be covered in constant opposition.
While it will be better for the whole Union to have a Republican Congress and or Senate areas such as Harlem need to keep a representative that knows them and they trust, and apparently they trust him.
