I'm looking forward to the next year in Iraq. This will be my third time in-country, and the chance to see a budding Democracy in action will be quite an experience! For better or worse, George W. Bush got it right in my opinion.
But after a weeks worth of training, I can safely opine that the removal of troops from Iraq, whether it be August 2010 or December 31, 2011 (per the Status of Forces Agreement), is just a political shell game!
I'd caution anyone from believing that Barack Obama, or any President, will ever preside over a complete and total pullout of Iraq. Not gonna happen! Anyone with a map and knowledge of Iran and Israel understands this!
The don't all hate us for our freedoms. I had the opportunity to speak with two Marines yesterday. Their view of what they have done in Iraq is more positive than what is being discussed on this forum or in the MSM. I'll listen to first hand experience before anyone else's opinion.
