The economy, taxes, and unemployment have all consistently turned up as leading concerns of the American electorate this year. But at today's Values Voter Summit in Washington, conservative activists focused mainly on a key hot-button issue on the right flank of the culture wars: the proposal now before Congress to repeal the military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy banning openly gay people from serving in the military.
‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ dominates Values Voter Summit | The Upshot Yahoo! News - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20100917/pl_yblog_upshot/dont-ask-dont-tell-dominates-values-voter-summit - broken link)

What? I thought Muslims had replaced gays in conservatives' "most hated" category.

Nah, Family Research is the Fred Phelps of the conservatives.
And people on CD wonder why I get ticked at "religion" - here's a prime example.

It is pitiful, isn't it? Even the title of their convention - "Values Voters" - suggests that only their values are the correct values to possess, or that they're the only ones who have any values at all.

Who knew that weakening our military was a "value" these voters were so concerned about?

Sounds like a normal healthy natural Darwinian aversion to homosexuality. Isn't that what you liberal secular Priests always preach. Darwin and his theories are the true God of humanity. So which is it Darwin is right and the human ape beast naturally detests an unnatural act that go against the natural drive of species proliferation. No? Oh so Jesus really would accept gays and there is a God.
