Had it actually happened, it would not have been worth mentioning anyway. What if men had burned their underwear? Humorous, but not groundbreaking. Not worth retelling decades later. The irony is that this thread is supposedly in favor of powerful women, but those women are to be shunned if they determine their own dress code. Hypocrite! At least be consistent.

Unless, of course, you want to be free to make choices about you own body. That's a no-no. Abortion? Big brother will come between you and your doctor. Birth control at the pharmacy? Conservative big brother wants to come between you and your doctor there, as well. Lesbian? Well, now. Conservative big brother thinks your sex life should be illegal, and if you "Voice your right" in the military, big brother says you cannot serve. The list goes on, but you get the point. Conservatives only want big brother to stop regulating their corporations, everything else about women's personal lives and bodies is fair game.

And I have yet to see the video about "Single, Childless, Conservative Women Awakening." Everything in this video is smothered in baby blue and pastel pink. Babies! Babies! Babies! Imagery of children, of a mother bear, etc. Not "We fight for the future of our nation," but "We fight for our children and our grandchildren's future." The message is clear: The "awakening conservative woman" has a baby in each arm, and a child clinging to her skirt. Anything else is unpatriotic, and won't be found in this video.

1. It was the liberal media that coined the term bra buring to the 1960'-70's womens movement. Women then had no problem with it then but now suddenly it is un-PC because the old hippies have saggy boobs?

2. There was no baby blue or pastel pink nor children in the video, just sucessful conservative women. Suddenly the mere mention of motherhood is suggestive of the riducule you have brought forward? Really? Prone to lies much? Or is comlete misrepresentation just liberal exaggeration?

3. Why do liberal women tend to forget about the rights of the child when discussing abortion? You see, there are two bodies directly affected by the abortion procedure, not just one; or, do liberals fail at math too?

4. Where in the trailer is there anything about outlawing anyone's "sex-life"? Please be specific. I didn't hear mention of abortion either for that matter.

There is no difference between liberal and conservative when it comes to abortion...it's a great equalizer to be sure. Both think exactly the same with it comes to this. The only real difference is that a conservative woman may think their situation is unique enough to make an abortion ok while telling themselves the gals on the other side are only doing it for selfish reasons. LOL.

Hijack liberation movements often? Just as Glenn Beck tried to RECLAIM the civil rights movement from the blacks who actually needed it and fought for it (and died for it, unlike the non-event of the Beck rally), Citizens United (a political front-group) is trying to hijack the "Women's Movement" from the women who actually fight for it today, and pervert it into a subsidiary of the overall conservative unbrella of control over personal choice.

The references to child-rearing women are all over the trailer, watch it again. No doubt if we covered the actual full-length video, those references would be overwhelming. This is not a new issue, this video covers no new ground. It's the same message for women that conservatives have been spewing forever: Know Your Place, Woman. You have a vagina, and it's OUR choice how you will use it, not yours. You WILL remain chaste until marriage, that choice belongs to your husband. You WILL receive all ejaculations inside you without protection, that choice belongs to the church. You WILL have a child if you become pregnant, that choice belongs to the state.

And you WILL support the wars with your children, that is another choice that will be stripped from you. If we could draft your whole family, we would.

Babies! Babies! Babies! Have them, or else.

So basically the gist of your venomous posts in this threads are that liberal women are allowed to be politically active but Conservative women are not. Is that correct? Or, perhaps just not any woman who might have ideas differing from yours?

We are talking about this video, are we not? Hello? The trailer is a couple minutes long. In that very short time frame we see many so-called "Conservative Women." These faces are not new to us. They are public figures, with records. So I am addressing the video, which is on the subject of these "Awakening Conservative Women."

I didn't realize we were only allowed to discuss the two-minute trailer, and not the subject matter. Should we talk about the cinematography, then? Whether or not the trailer should have been four minutes, or only three?

Stop trying to divert the issue. Rather than discuss the ramifications of the movie, you only want us to discuss the YouTube trailer. "Oh no no no! I didn't want the forum to discuss conservative women and the women's movement!!! I wanted them to discuss the brief trailer!! That's it!!"
