fear mongering from the left, how unusual. about the only thing that might happen is the government gets shut down for a short period of time, and obama will try to blame the republicans like clinton did, but in reality it will be obama that refuses to sign legislation sent to him by congress, the same thing clinton did, and the government will shut down some departments.

as for the other crap, since the senate would likely be in republican hands, barely, compromise will be forced on congress in order to get anything done, as you know the democrats will do everything they can to block the republicans agenda.

Default error in original post

Should have read "WHEN they take over" not "IF they take over." Why? Because 55 or 60% of the people have figured out that you cannot love employment and obstruct employers, you cannot stimulate the economy by wasting money you do not have, and looting the treasury to increase the gap between public employees and private sector employees is not part of any rational economic system.

The FAR greater of two evils again, only worse this time??? Can you imagine Tea Party(Palin's crowd) joined at hip with Neocons (Mccain & Palin's crowd) ??? These Tea Party folks are the 1930's Germans, and may not be as "naive" as I thought!:

How did Hitler use propaganda to manipulate the German people? - Yahoo! Answers

"...The popular theory of tribalist anti Nazis often condescendingly excuse the german people as "victims of hypnotic propaganda".This is a myth. The Nazi party was democratically elected in 1933,remained in power until the bitter end and had the unwavering and adoring support of virtually all of the germanic peoples...."

Yep, those bad 8 years:
"The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose from 4.2% in January 2001, peaking at 6.3% in June 2003 and reaching a trough of 4.4% in March 2007. After an economic slowdown, the rate rose again to 6.1% in August 2008 and up to 7.2% in December 2008.[55] From December 2007 when the recession started to December 2008, an additional 3.6 million people became unemployed.[56] And, in January 2009, his last month in office, the nation lost 655,000 jobs, raising the unemployment rate to 7.6 percent, the highest level in more than 15 years.[57

Bush inherited a faltering economy from Clinton, the economy having grown at a 1.1% annualized rate over the previous three quarters from March 31 of the first year of Bush presidency [64](see Early 2000s recession). Bush had his tax cut plan approved by Congress in June, proposed early as a response to the economic decline and, despite the aftermath of the September 11 attacks in 2001.
Overall real GDP grew at an average annual rate of 2.5%. Between 2001 and 2005, GDP growth was clocked at 2.8%. The number of jobs created grew by 6.5% on average. The growth in average salaries was 1.2%. Growth in consumer spending was 72% faster than growth in income. Investment in residential real-estate soared, growing 26% faster than average.[10][63]
Despite growth levels below previous levels, a March 2006 report by the United States Congress Joint Economic Committee showed that the U.S. economy outperformed its peer group of large developed economies from 2001 to 2005. (The other economies are Canada, the European Union, and Japan.) The U.S. led in real GDP growth, investment, industrial production, employment, labor productivity, and price stability."

When did the dems take over congress.

The real morons always claim how bad things were during "The Bush 8 years" but, always ignore how good things were for the 6 years before the dems took over congress.

Of course forget the surplus Bush inherited from Clinton, and overlook the gorillas in the room, those two wars that drove our nation into the ground, all the military contractors ("jobs") that bilked the US Treasury for PROFIT, the Bush tax cuts, borrowing from China, etc. Now GOP offers the Americans the marriage from hell, Tea Party/Neocon unity! I wish voters would divorce the GOP Party, but I'm afraid GOP voters are suffering from some form of abusive syndrome, only staying with what they know!

How could you leave the guy after Bush off the list?

I won't defend Bush. But you can't honestly defend Obama and pretend to care about deficits.
