Imagine you spend your life in foster homes longing for a normal household, a mom and a dad, and then they force you into an abnormal household with two people of the same sex pretending to be parents. How is that loving? Imagine the harrassment at school.

Yes, please keep to adopting small dogs who could care less.

And foster care is a normal, loving environment?

Really, really sad that you would choose a life in a group home over a life with 2 same sex parents. What on Earth do you think will happen?
Yes, rather than with two same sex parents. I believe homosexuality is morally wrong.

We will never agree.

Default It's a win-win-win; child, new parents, society!

I believe allowing children to languish in often unsafe and unnurturing environments like a group home when there are two loving parents willing to adopt them to be morally wrong.

Cutting off your nose to spite your face. Just horrible.

You care more about what you think is "moral" than these poor children, many whom end up committing suicide. It pains me to think that people like you prevent people like them from having a chance at a decent life.

The best interest of the child is to be loved and cared for.

Good thing that you don't make the decision for others.
How's that less government going to work in this case?

Might want to read up on some of those "foster home" situations and living conditions.
Or talk with the few posters on CD who were raised in foster homes.

You seem to make a lot of posts without knowing much about a subject.

Then don't get into a homosexual relationship.
That should take care of your problem.

You don't get to choose what's best for others.

What would you do if one of your daughters is lesbian?
Hate her? Disown her?

Because I disagree does not mean you are right. I don't want to know about any same-sex relationship.

You also don't get to choose.

Both sons are grown, have grandchildren now, thank you.

I'll pray for you.

You're right, we don't get to choose our orientation. When was it that you decided to be straight? Or didn't you have to?

Keep your words to your sky-daddy to yourself, I'm not interested.
And it's typical christer behavior. Hatred and pushiness. There are a few exceptions around, but not many on CED.

Would you hate your grandchildren if they were gay?
What if your son/s is/are gay and living a miserable life because their father would hate them for being gay?

Or is it all about you?

I would think that the agency prescreens the kids by asking them questions about that. The foster kids have been with the foster parent sfor a spell before they make that decision, don't they? That would be sufficient time to get to know the prospective parents. Just because schoolkids and their parents are hateful and dismissive of the kids' parents is no excuse to prevent the kids from having two loving parents. There will always be cruelty among school kids because of race, class, sexual orientation, whose A-list, who isn't. It's how we overcome those obstacles in life that defines us as human beings.

Obviously you're not educated enough to understand the concept. I'm embarrassed FOR you.
