Unions...I'm sure there was once upon a time when they were needed and helpful. Now...what abuse! They are destroying our schools and our country.

And folks wonder why this country is going to hell in a handbasket

I wonder how NPR will report this or even if George Soros
will let them

I'm also wondering if they had all of this work done
over summer vacation or took the 'Union' sick day's

Here's the best part

Rumore said the benefit is a negotiated item -- one that his union is willing to give up only as part of contract negotiations, which he expects to begin by the end of the year.

So do they get a charge back ?

And they were asked to give that up last year so the district would not have to layoff people.
The union said NO.

Botox first...jobs second.

The Teachers Union in NJ did the same thing. When they were crowing that they do their jobs for the kids and not the money, Gov. Christie said, ok, then make the cuts that all other unions had made and I will return those savings back to the schools in their budgets, and the Unions AND the teachers said NO! What does that tell you?

Fat paychecks and luxurious benefits before the kids.

Wonder if anyone knows how to do the research to find out just how many other states provide this kind of elective cosmetic surgery benefits to their unionized teachers? And have gone through similar "negotiations?"

How many of us, taxpayers, in these rough times are funding teacher's facelifts?

I know looking back at our old yearbooks, many of them needed some work done; but I doubt any of us enjoy having it done on our dime!
