Thank you, but I'll reserve my cheers for GM and the bail out until we see how many of those workers hired are American's.
As a part of their government authorized and overseen rehabilitation, they've already closed American plants and shifted production off-shore, especially to Mexico.
Using our tax dollars to do that is unconscionable and irresponsible and I, for one, am not happy about it even to the point of refusing to buy GM products so long as they continue to screw their American workers in favor of foreign workers.
For instance, I was in the market for a new pick up truck just this month and bought a Nissan, rather than another Chevy. Know why? Because the Silverado's are built in Guadalajara, Mexico and the Nissan's in Smyrna, TN. And, I let GM know why I didn't buy their product.
Maybe if more of us would adopt the same tactic, this foolishness would end.
It's funny that foreign companies come to the US to make their cars, not only the Japanese, BMW also has a plant in SC, VW is building one in Chattanooga...
Wrong question. I want the BEST to succeed, regardless of where they are.. Why would you prop up companies that arent "the best"? If you prop them up you dont encourage them to get better.. Its an artificial fake support..

No thank you..
So you're not a patriot either. You're what, a global citizen?
Think about it! Paying a guy $50/hr plus lavish benefits to put lugnuts on a car wheel with a machine that does all of them at once? Come on man! Labor costs to these companies is totally outrageous. Who do you think pays for all of that in the end? WE DO!

A patriot doesnt prop up bad companies.. they encourage bad companies to get better.. yes I'm a patriot by not buying inferrior quality encouraging bad products to continue to be produced. Anyone who supports bad product production that can only fail over time is not a patriot, they are a pinhead...
