Results are in - Fox wins hands down on balanced coverage;

Fox News Fair And Balanced | MSNBC Political coverage | Mediaite

Quote:
Although Fox News took the most criticism during this campaign season for its alleged bias, it was MSNBC — whose new “Lean Forward” tagline inspired CNN’s promo — that wore its point of view most on its sleeve Tuesday night.

MSNBC’s election coverage was led by a panel comprised mostly of its opinionated prime-time hosts (Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell, along with frequent contributor Eugene Robinson), with nary a conservative voice in the mix. In contrast, Fox News’s was provided by two anchors from its straight-news dayside, Megyn Kelly and Bret Baier, along with a panel that included conservatives like Karl Rove as well as liberals like Juan Williams. Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity stopped by only briefly.

I thought they all did a great job. I flipped from local channels that carried the local results to the national cable news outlets (luckily I have a "mix" channel, so I flipped to it, and then to the actual station that was showing results rather than commercials) to keep up both locally and nationally. It was an interesting night. I thought the commentary was predictable on all channels, but it was still a very interesting and historic night. Congratulations to all who won, and all the people who feel like they won because those they supported won. Let's hope that our new representatives will be better than the ones we voted out. And thank you to everyone who voted. Participation is what makes our system of government work, and it's not always easy. So kudos to the people who cared.

How does a media outlet be fair and balanced reporting election results...it is what it is.

It's about the commentary each channel airs about the races

I'm not surprised. Funny tho FOX always gets blasted by the Left for being biased yet FOX ALWAYS has liberal commentators on the shows almost everyday. Plus Schlep Smith is liberal. He was for ObamaCare when the news was covering it. As always the liberals always makes claims of bias but then don't actually watch it. Instead, they rely on George Soros to tell them that FOX is biased and base most of their opinions on Beck and O'Reilly

I flipped between FOX and CNN, but just couldn't take CNN for any period of time.

FOX was calling the results sooner, and their panel was much more balanced and orderly. I despise the sound of voices talking over each other, and too often at CNN that seemed to be the case. CNN also seemed somewhat obsessed with the Tea Party.

Jim McNeil & Co. on PBS did a good job. In the fall this is the only station I get with any consistency on my rabbit ears.

They have SO many sitting at the two tables and Client Number 9 (spitzer) was trying to hog the commentary.

Oblamer was probably watching FOX News last night too so he could get the TRUTH about the news in a fair and balanced way.

I laugh when I read about Fox from the left. They ridicule "fair and balanced", yet who was the right side voice on MSNBC last night?
