Trade is not the same as letting international companies into your country. They sure didn't have access to the oil fields before the embargo as well.
And? We still arent receiving oil from the wells.. so whats your point? The only point I'm seeing is that we now have a contract to go in and repair oil fields that were allowed to go in dis-repair due to a government which controlled everything, and now its taking capitalism to come in and show communism how to do it.. And this governmental control is the very same thing individuals in america are asking for
I find it rather silly that you would object to capitalism repairing items needed to benefit the Iraqi people..

Inspecters for all of bill clinton terms in office, this was a condition, a treaty, he gave his word, that he would allow inspectors into his country to look for wmds.in return the colation would let him stay in power.guess what? For the record, there was NOTHING they found linked to 9/11....NOTHING. Not the CIA; not the FBI; not the FAA...Nobody found the link. Then Dubya tried using the excuse saying going to Iraq would prevent another 9/11. How's that possible when the two weren't connected. Knowing them, the conservatives always try to find an end to justify the means.

Oh, I love this part! Typical conservative shifting all the blame on the liberals. Last I checked, it was Obama who said he was going to end the war which he did on August 31. He's now wanting to withdraw troops from Afghanistan by next year. Good for him. He understands that there will NEVER be peace in the Middle East. The Russians, the British, the French, the Romans, the Persians, and even the Romans tried, but none succeeded. Those countries have been fighting each other since the days of Gilgamesh, and nothing will ever change. Nonetheless, it's time we stopped trying to build an empire in the Middle East and worry about our own problems.We have enough going on on our own streets like urban gangs terrorizing neighborhoods. That should be the real war on terror.

Israel is not cooperating with UN either. Neither is the US come to think of it. Are we going to invade Israel and Oklahoma next?

He did not.. we still have 50,000 troops there, and the withdraw by Obama was created by Bush.. He also TRIPLED the number of troops in Afghanistan, using the very same strategy that he objected to for Iraq.

it will indeed change.. Lots have already changed. We have free elections, women voting, girls going to school, we no longer have mass genocide by the iraqi government killing their own people. I call that an improvement.. Only through Democracy can things get better.. Something that was missing with all of the other attempts..
