Wow! Such decorum rules. Wonder if the players are able to "high five" each other when they score? Are the crowds allowed to cheer? Sounds rather robotic. Oh well, I guess football is becoming a bit more like golf...
i find it disturbing that he only "Nods to God" after a Touchdown...
I mean, what if he was handed the ball and only gained 2 yards?? Is that not worthy of a "nod"? Is it not worthy of a "nod" just to be able to play football??
I would think the best place for an athlete's 'nod to god' to be in the locker room, in his/her nakedness before God and man, giving thanks for his/her endowments and abilities.
I'll bet if he did some nod to Allah or Mohammed, nothing would have been said, or the ACLU would be in town. Gotta love all that diversity and tolerance!
Frankly, I would lack any motivation to try and do anything right if I believed gods decided over my success and failure
