Maybe God wanted it that way. He's supposed to be in control of everything, isn't he?

It's just a case of "the rules shouldn't apply to me because....". No story here, excpet how you, or FOX, want's to spin it.

Quote:
He apparently broke a Washington Interscholastic Activities Association rule that bans players from drawing attention to themselves.

“I thought it was pretty crummy that kids can't give thanks in public," one Tumwater fan told Q13 FOX.
It might seem "crummy", but life doesn't revolve around anyone in particular.

Wow! Such decorum rules. Wonder if the players are able to "high five" each other when they score? Are the crowds allowed to cheer? Sounds rather robotic. Oh well, I guess football is becoming a bit more like golf...

i find it disturbing that he only "Nods to God" after a Touchdown...

I mean, what if he was handed the ball and only gained 2 yards?? Is that not worthy of a "nod"? Is it not worthy of a "nod" just to be able to play football??

discuss...

I would think the best place for an athlete's 'nod to god' to be in the locker room, in his/her nakedness before God and man, giving thanks for his/her endowments and abilities.

I'll bet if he did some nod to Allah or Mohammed, nothing would have been said, or the ACLU would be in town. Gotta love all that diversity and tolerance!

Frankly, I would lack any motivation to try and do anything right if I believed gods decided over my success and failure

Here a lot of soccer players make the cross symbol on their bodies after scoring a goal, I always wonder if they really think Jesus gives a damn about soccer...
