The key word here is "suspected".

They have no proof. I hope he's not the sacrificial lamb.

Only if you consider espionage on your own country a heroic act.

If he is guilty, he should be given death.

Of course he is falling on someone's sword. These leaks came from the top and were meant to cause the chaos they are causing. Did you read the article in Time about the Assange interview? He said he's not doing this to bring more transparency, he's doing it to bring justice and cause chaos for good. He went on to say if this does anything it will destabilize America, which is his main goal.

You're probably right about the sacrificial lamb part. I do not believe that this guy gave up all of that information. Some possibly.

It's sad they want to make a hero out of this guy, but don't give a hoot about the real hero's fighting in harms way as you read this post.

But that's Berkley, California for ya.

If he can prove that people in our government helped him, I'd take his death off the table.

Look..this pattern is becoming obvious.

Was Madoff the sacrificial lamb for Wall Street corruption ? Jail him and GS/JPM/BofA/Lehman/Bear execs walk free ?

There was another one where one lowly trader..a worker bee got blamed for another big Wall Street fiasco and they all said he did it of his own.

There's no way these worker folks on the bottom rung can be given this much power and authority to free wheel as they see fit. Do people not see this ?

The real culprits are high up.
