Well, if her party thinks the impact has been good, then fine. If they like her, i love her.
She has a fight on her hands with the elites of both parties and the press. She is not a Washington DC beltway career politician. She is not part of their machine and none of the career people want independent people in power.
I could not really find much in the way of the contextual meaning of the one quote concerning Reagan. The comment does however, seem to be a bit over the top.
She doesn't try and quote Reagan, she professes fiscal conservatism and belief in the original intent of the Constitution.
She's of the people, not the beltway.
I don't really expect her to run for President. She'd have to take a nasty pay cut, take on the weight of the world and as a conservative she has the press who are an arm of the Democrat party constantly trying to hatchet the perceptions of everything she does.
Demint's comments that gays and unwed women with children shouldn't be allowed to teach for starters.....
Would you care to post some documentation of this? When, where and to whom, has he ever made such a comment. Post the link. And it better be a credible source, not HuffPo or some Soros funeded Website!
I think this is a lie.
Jim Demint and his hate spewing rhetoric is 100% COMPLETELY UNELECTABLE, he would probably be worse than Palin for the GOP.
If Palin runs she would do pretty well against Obama, which IMO is why many are so obsessed with constantly nailing her in the press. If she wasn't a powerful force everyone would ignore her and she would have gone away. The fact she commands so much attention tells you she is a real powerhouse.

He said those comments when he first ran in 04, and repeated in a couple months ago. From CNN & Fox.
Quote:
Speaking at a church rally in Spartanburg, South Carolina, DeMint told attendees people quietly told him he should not back down from a position he took in 2004 that openly gay individuals and single mothers who are involved in a sexual relationship should not be allowed to teach. He did not weigh in on whether unwed men should be allowed to teach.
South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint is under renewed fire from women's groups and gay rights supporters for remarks he made six years ago, when he said gays and unmarried pregnant women should not be teaching in public schools.
At a rally in Spartanburg last Friday, DeMint, a Republican, reflected on his controversial remarks, saying that while no one offered a public "attaboy," people were privately were patting him on the back.
"No one came to my defense. But everyone would come to me and whisper that I shouldn't back down," DeMint, who is running for re-election next month, said at the Greater Freedom Rally, according to a report in the Herald-Journal of Spartanburg. "They don't want government purging their rights and their freedom of religion."

Her numbers are horrific. She would have no chance. The last three national polls on a head to head match up between Obama and Palin

No. To me, Palin is a clown. Her entire persona is amusing. That's why I like talking about her.
All of the polls show that Palin would do badly against Obama.
Actually, what he meant to say was that Sarah Palin has done more for the Democratic Party....?
Palin 2012....LOL!!
